Resource and Referral serves as a one stop shop for all
children and youth programs. Recently under construction
to serve as central enrollment/registry for patrons
seeking programs for their children, youth and teens.
The Children, Youth & Teen Programs assists active duty
and DoD civilian personnel in balancing the competing
demands of family life and accomplishing their mission,
while improving the economic viability of the family
unit. This Branch provides a full range of services to
support parents in raising their children. Services
include parent information, education, out-of-home child
care and youth services for ages 6 weeks to 18 years of
age (still in school). Program components include:
Resource and Referral, Child Development Centers, Family
Child Care, Youth Programs and School Age Care. |

select out-of-home infant, pre-school and school-age
child care services on and off the installation. |

• Find services children, including those with special
needs. |

• Locate and
select youth services on the installation. |

• Locate hourly and emergency child care |

• Assist in
arranging care for special functions. |

• Obtain information on Youth/Teen services. |

• Learn how to
become a Family Child Care Provider. |

ENHANCED EXTENDED CHILD CARE
The MCCS Children & Youth Family Child Care
Program offers Enhanced Extended Child Care (EECC)
program for emergency childcare needs. Military
families with children ages six weeks up to
fourteen years old are eligible when they cannot
use their regularly scheduled childcare programs
due to unexpected emergencies, medical
emergencies, family illness, a family emergency
or an unexpected duty requirement for extended
hours. Military families with employed spouses,
single parents, and dual military families are
eligible when an emergency is verified and no
other options for childcare services are
available. EECC services are now available 24
hours, 7 days a week in the home of a certified
Family Child Care Provider.

Child Development Center |
|
Child
Development Center conducts child care in buildings 4298
and 4629. Both buildings are located on E Street
adjacent to the Commissary. Full time, part time and
hourly care is provided. These programs meet the
accreditation standards of the National Association for
the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are staffed
by trained child care providers. All CDC's comply with
DoD standards for staff qualifications, program quality,
safety, sanitation and nutrition. CDC's offer a variety
of planned group and individual activities tailored to

The Cherry
Tree House is located on Fourth Ave, offers a variety of
activities for school age children and youths. Summer camps,
dances, sleepovers, sports events and just plain fun stuff can
be found at Youth Activities. Open recreation is a great
opportunity for kids to play basketball on the full size

Family Child Care |
|
The Family Child
Care Program (FCC) offers an alternative to center based care.
Providers are trained, certified and monitored by the Family
Child Care Program. They are qualified to offer child care in
their homes aboard the installation. FCC providers offer a
variety of planned group and individual activities tailored to
children's developmental needs. FCC also provides employment
opportunities for spouses living aboard the installation.
Individuals can be trained and certified to become Family
