offer 70 wet slips, 60 slips with power and water, 10
without power and water. Also 24 dry storage rental spaces
for boats & boat trailers.
Pelican Point Marina: Boat Slip Rentals, launching ramp
for small boats. We offer 19 wet slips with power & water.
Pelican Point Ship's Store offers boat, canoes, kayak
rentals. Bait, drinks & gasoline.
Slocum Lodge: Used for parties, weddings, meetings.

Picnic Areas: Bartlett Pond, Catfish Pond, Creekside,
Duck Pond, Lone Tree Point, Mead's Beach, Ordnance Point,
Shady Grove "A", Shad Grove "B" Sunset.

Barlett Pond - Located off Roosevelt Blvd. - Gym
Sets, Playground, Fishing Pond, Picnic Tables & covered
area, portable barbecue grill, bathroom, & tent camping****
Catfish Pond - Located right off of Rifle Range Road.
Picnic Tables, Bathroom & Fishing.****
Creekside - Located to the left as you turn onto
Alexander Road into Housing. Picnic tables, small covered
area, grill, port-a-john.
Duck Pond - Located off of Rifle Range Road, behind
Catfish Pond. Tent camping, four picnic tables, bathroom,
grills, & fishing. ****
Lone Tree Point - Located off Cryogenics road. One
bathroom, two barbecue grills, two picnic tables, covered
area, & tent camping. Boat ramp.
Mead's Beach - Accessible by boat only, small covered
area, picnic tables. No Bathroom.
Ordnance Point - Located off of Slocum Road, by
entrance to Housing. Bathroom, five picnic tables, grills,
playground, and 2 covered areas. Boat Ramp.
Shady Grove "A" - Located off Roosevelt Blvd. Pass
the runway. Thirteen picnic tables, covered area, ball park,
hand operated water pump, volleyball poles, horseshoe pit,
bathroom & telephone 466-2411
Shady Grove "B" - Located off Roosevelt Blvd. Pass
the runway. Turn on same road as Shady Grove "A" near the
creek's edge. Eight picnic tables, & hand operated water
pump, grill & covered area.
Sunset Park - Located at the end of the runway.
Picnic table, & a port-a-john.
*****A North Carolina State fishing license & Cherry Point
Base fishing permit are required for anyone 16 years of age
& older to fish in the ponds. $10.00 Permits are available
at MCX Customer Service.

Note: Tent camping is available at Bartlett Pond,
Duck Pond, Lonetree Point, Mead's Beach (accessible only by
boat).

NO MCCS WATERCRAFT WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE NEUSE RIVER.
Children under 2 years old, will not be permitted on any
MCCS Watercraft. |
