Eligible
Patrons: |
|
Military personnel (both active duty and reserve) and their
dependents, retirees and their dependents, civilian employees, and students enrolled in the off-duty education
programs. A valid military, military family member, or
civilian employee ID is required to borrow materials.
(Students should bring proof of current enrollment). Family
members of active duty, reserve, or retired military
personnel are entitled to use the library in the name of
their military sponsor, unless the sponsor requests in
writing that dependents use be restricted. |
|
Circulation
Policies: |
|
NO. OF ITEMS:
Patrons may borrow an unlimited number of books, plus a
maximum of ten audio recordings, ten video recordings, and
five CD-ROMs, provided no materials are past due.
LOAN
PERIOD:
Books, videos, and audio recordings are normally loaned for
a period of three weeks.
PINS:
Patrons may
request a PIN at the circulation desk; with a PIN, patrons
may renew items and check on account status over the phone.
DOD ID cards will be required to set or change a PIN.
RENEWALS:
Patrons may renew items once. Items may not be renewed if
they are overdue or if there is a waiting list for the
title.
OVERDUES:
If materials become overdue, reminders will be sent to the
email address registration. If no email address is
available, a reminder will be sent to the military sponsor
at work. Subsequent notices will be sent via the sponsor's
chain of command. If no response is made, the military
sponsor may be charged with misappropriation of government
property.
LOST OR DAMAGED MATERIALS:
If a book or recording is lost or damaged, the patron is
responsible for replacing it with the same item, or a
similar new item of equivalent value. If the patron
is unable to obtain a replacement, payment may be made to
MCCS; a "Lost Materials Form" will be prepared at the
library--this form and payment must then be turned in to the MCCS cashier.
Library staff are not authorized to accept payment for
government property. If the lost or damaged item is a
McNaughton book, the patron will need to make payment by
check or money order payable to McNaughton Book Service.
If an item is returned in damaged condition, and the patron
does not respond to our request for a replacement, notices
will be sent via the military sponsor's chain of command.
Damaged materials must be disposed of by the library in
accordance with current regulations.
BOOK
DROP:
A book drop is provided for your use in returning materials when
the library is closed. This book drop is to be used at your
own risk; if items are damaged while in the book drop, or
disappear from the book drop, you are held responsible. If
the case for an audiovisual title is loose or damaged,
please return the item inside the library.

HOLDINGS:
The Station Library has books, movies, music, and audio
books for all ages. Most available for check-out. We
subscribe to over 100 magazines and newspapers; offer access
to a growing range of electronic reference sources and
e-books; and loan Rosetta Stone CD-ROMs. We also loan
portable DVD players, and an assortment of e-book readers. |
|
INTERLIBRARY LOAN:
If the
books, magazine articles, or foreign language materials you
need are not available at the Library, we may request these
for you from other libraries. It normally takes at least
two weeks to fill an Interlibrary Loan request. Books less
than a year old are not available through Interlibrary Loan.
If the other library charges for photocopies or a loan, this
charge will be passed on to you. Patrons who abuse the
Interlibrary Loan privilege by keeping materials past the
due date may be refused future requests. |
|

The library
has a public access photocopier; up to 10 copies may be made
