The Marine Warrior Library has all the latest bestsellers! They have books for all interests, including recent fiction and non-fiction bestsellers, magazines on many topics, books on tape, music on cassettes and CDs. You can also find books from the Commandant's Reading List at the Library.

ProQuest: An enormous collection of periodical articles, many available online in full-text! ProQuest includes a Health Database, ABI/INFORM for management and business information, and articles from a wide range of periodicals - newspapers, general magazines, and scholarly and professional journals. One of its features is KidQuest - an interface especially for kids.
NewsBank is a general reference file of news articles covering social, economic, environmental government, sports, health, science and military issues and events from more than 500 U.S. regional and national newspapers and wire services, and 140 full-text general news, subject-specific and military magazines.
FACTS.com brings content from seven core reference databases to answer questions about issues, events, statistics and people of the last 20 years.
We also offer FREE access via the internet to Jane's Defense Magazine Library, magillonLiterature, MagillonAuthors, Auto Repair Reference Database, SIRS Researcher, SIRS Discoverer, CollegeSource, Learn-a-Test.com, encyclopedias and MORE!!!
Are you a Student? Come to the library for access to a wide range of resources for your research or homework! We have an extensive reference collection, as well as general nonfiction books, movies and audio books for checkout. Librarians will help you find the information you need! We also offer library instruction classes upon request.
   
Are you a Road Warrior? Check out the Station Library's Audio Books on cassette and CD. Many new fiction and nonfiction titles have been added recently. Be warned however...audio books can become addictive. A clue will be, you won't get out out of your car when you arrive at your destination because you want to hear the end of a chapter! Get ready for the next wave in audio books. The Station Library now has a collection of over 1500 audio books on MP3/CD; 100 titles so far, and the collection is growing rapidly. Thanks to MP3 file compression, each CD can hold over 12 hours of spoken audio, Moby Dick, unabridged fits on two CDs. Many unabridged audio books fit on a single disc. To listen to an MP3CD you need the right equipment. Most computers with CD-ROM drives can decode MP3 files. Many DVD players are MP3 capable. Many new CD players have MP3 decoding built in. For those who would like to try an MP3/CD but don't have the player, we have portable MP3/CD players (with cassette adapters) available for check out. Just request one at the circulation desk. Please note: that due to the cost of the players, sponsors or spouses must sign them out.
The Station Library now has 6 portable e-book readers available for checkout. Each is loaded with over 40 titles. The e-book readers are approximately the size and weight of a hardcover book, and are ideal for "Chain-Readers" who are on the road. They also feature adjustable print size and backlighting, and can be easier to read than print books in some situations. The readers include built-in dictionaries that allow readers to look up unfamiliar words with a point and a click. Four of the library's readers are loaded with mixes of bestsellers and popular fiction, with some classics and popular nonfiction. One reader is especially for families; it includes 120 titles, mainly classics and titles for children and teens. The sixth reader features nonfiction (history and biography especially), drama, poetry, and classics. Music? We have a large collection of your favorite Music on CD's or cassette; we have CD players in several locations within the Library for your listening pleasure or you may also check them out!
Videos? Don't go the the video store and pay to rent your favorite movies! We have a large selection of videos you can check out for FREE! You may check out six videos at a one week period. DVD's are also available.
Periodicals? Yes, we have them! Newspapers include: The Windsock, The Havelock News, Carteret News Times, The Sun Journal, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and several others. We also have a large selection of magazines for your reading pleasure such as; Money, Time, Military Traveler, PC Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, Sports Illustrated, Road & Track, Outdoor Life, Health, Ladies Home Journal, People and many others.
Children's Reading Room? We have a terrific selection of Children's books and videos! Our Children's Reading Room is comfortable and fun, and has tables and chairs sized just for children.

Please Note: Your Library has computers with Internet access and printers to fulfill your information needs. Additional computers for word processing, scanners and a typewriter are also available.
A copier and fax machine are available for a small fee.
