Cherry Point CDC operates a full time, part time and

weeks to 12 years of age. These programs meet the
accreditation standards of the National Association for
the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and are staffed
by trained child care providers. The CDC complies with DoD
standards for staff qualifications, program quality,
safety, sanitation and nutrition. We also offer a
variety of planned group and individual activities
tailored to children's developmental needs. |

personnel. |
|
Both the CDC
and Family Child Care (FCC) Program follow the United
States Department of Agriculture (USDA) regulations.
Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack are provided at
no additional charge. Children must be in attendance at
the appropriate time each meal is served to be included. |
|
The CDC uses
the Creative Curriculum. Learning for young
children is the result of interaction between the
child's thoughts and experiences with materials, ideas,
and people. Knowledge of child development is used with
an understanding about a child's growth patterns,
strengths, interests, and experiences to design the most
appropriate learning environment. |
ENHANCED EXTENDED CHILD CARE
The MCCS Children & Youth Family Child Care
Program offers Enhanced Extended Child Care (EECC)
program for emergency childcare needs. Military
families with children ages six weeks up to
twelve years old are eligible when they cannot
use their regularly scheduled childcare programs
due to unexpected emergencies, medical
emergencies, family illness, a family emergency
or an unexpected duty requirement for extended
hours. Military families with employed spouses,
single parents, and dual military families are
eligible when an emergency is verified and no
other options for childcare services are
available. EECC services are now available 24
hours, 7 days a week in the home of a certified
Family Child Care Provider.
